Fires of Terrorism in Israel

In eight days Israel battled 1773 fires, arrested and/or questioned over 30 suspects.  Thirty-nine of the fires were major requiring 10+ crews to get them under control.  Approximately 100,000 people were evacuated and hundreds of homes were destroyed.  Over 2,200 acres of ground was burned and destroyed.

Both Jews and Arabs fought the fires together, residents in Haifa assisting one another to safety during the fires and helping to recover afterward.  The PA sent four firetrucks and and fireman to help put out the fires in other areas.

Several countries assisted Israel with firefighting equipment in this time of need.

In spite of such massive fires that swept through quickly due to high winds, no lives were lost!  Thank you HaShem!
