..the first female partisan in Belarussia to be hung by the Nazis was a 17 year old Jewish high school graduate?

Masha Bruskina was forced to live in the Minsk Ghetto in July 1941.  Masha joined the resistance and volunteered in a hospital to care for the wounded soldiers of the Red Army.  She helped them escape, smuggling them out in civilian clothes and false papers.

October 14th a patient informed on her.  She was tortured for several days but refused to give the names of the other partisans. On October 26th she was hung with two male partisans.  She refused to face the crowd forced to watch, no matter how hard they tried to turn her.  She died with the same defiance she demonstrated in her short lifetime.
