“…praise His holy name. For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime.” Psalm 30:5
Interesting, isn’t it, God’s [righteous] anger lasts briefly, but the favor He gives us is never taken away. Look at this in contrast to our human ways: Our anger with someone can last a lifetime and any favor they had with us we revoke as punishment!
Is it any wonder that God said, “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways…’” Isaiah 55:8 & 9
God has set the example for us. Can we all strive to follow His ways and treat our fellow man as God treats us? Let us be deserving of the favor He gives to us.
