“Prayer does not equip us for greater works – prayer is the greater work.” (Emphasis added.) Prayer is the battle, and it makes no difference where you are.” – Oswald Chambers, “My Utmost For His Highest”
The focus of AHI’s compassionate outreach to the Shoah Survivors who have found refuge in The Land (Israel) is undergirded and energized by the prayer work of AHI’s Prayer Team. Some of us AHI Intercessors have not been blessed (yet) to set our feet in Israel, and perhaps we may never.
HOWEVER, our prayers go forth into the heavenly Throne Room and onward to Israel with dynamic power AS IF we were there. Adonai promises that “when we call, He will answer…” no matter where we are on Earth when we call. Some of us Intercessors are “advanced in years”, as are our precious Survivors. Adonai says to His ‘older children,“
They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; He is my Rock.” Psalm 92:14-15
Therefore, let us (all) continue in fervent prayer that Adonai’s strength and shalom will be poured out to the Survivors. Pray that the Survivors will continue to be honored and cared for through the work of AHI. May lasting friendships help to banish loneliness. May failing health be reversed! May they live to see their prayers answered. May their waning years be significant and reflect the glory of G-d!
“Let them give thanks to Adonai for His unfailing Love and His wonderful deeds… for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:8-9
