Israel’s Independence: Does It Involve You?

“Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment?” Isaiah 66:8Israel independence (Small)

Yes, it can and it was!  May 14, 1948 the United Nations declared Israel a nation.  This month Israel celebrates their 68th year of independence.  But does this event have anything to do with you?

“This is what the Lord Almighty says: “I will save my people from the countries of the east and the west.  I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they will be my people, and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God.” Zechariah 8:7

This has been happening consistently since WWII as the Holocaust drove God’s people to Israel to form their own country.

“This is what the Lord Almighty says, ‘Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with cane in hand because of his age.  The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there.’” Zechariah 8:4

When the Survivors of the Holocaust poured into Israel, they worked hard to establish the nation and to build it up and make it successful.  They had families and established the future of the nation.  Now those Survivors are in Jerusalem, and all over Israel, with cane in hand while their grandchildren continue to build and defend their country, and their great-grandchildren play in the streets.

“In those days ten men from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, “Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.” Zechariah 8:23

Should you be involved?  Should you care about Israel and her people?  The answer is “Yes!”  God IS with the Jewish people and we need to stand with them.  Go to Jerusalem, or anywhere in Israel, support them from where you are and bless the People of the Almighty God.

“I will bless those who bless you [Israel]… Genesis 12:3

It can’t be any more specific.  Want favor and blessing?  Stand with Israel!
