~A Few Words ~

king-cyrus-smallA royal decree: “‘In the first year of King Cyrus… Let the temple be rebuilt… do not interfere with the work on this temple of God… furthermore, I decree that if anyone changes this edict, a beam is to be pulled from his house and he is to lifted up and impaled on it… May God, who has caused His Name to dwell there, overthrow any king or people who lifts up a hand to change this decree or to destroy this temple in Jerusalem.  I Darius have decreed it.’” – words of King Darius, Ezra 6:3-12

“Cyrus the Great is also well recognized for his achievements in human rights… Having originated from Persis… Cyrus has played a crucial role in defining the national identity of modern Iran. – Cyrus the Great, Wikipedia

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” Genesis 12:3

Is it not interesting that King Cyrus the Great was chosen to bless Israel and help the Jews rebuild the walls of Jerusalem?  This king was Gentile and a king who warred against the nations including Israel.  He was not well liked, but God chose to use him.  His decree is so complete, it even applies to those descendants of his reign.   That seems to be Iran.

Therefore, it is declared by both God and King Cyrus, that those who come against Israel will be utterly destroyed.  Iran?  A word to the wise, but ignored by the foolish.  A nation, her people, and her leader must stand WITH Israel and not against her.

At these times people did not choose their leaders through votes.  Today that has changed. But one thing that has not changed is God is still in charge and He hears our prayers.

I encourage all Americans during this current American presidential election to vote, but make sure vote-counts-smallyou vote according to the desire of the Almighty God.  Ask Him the hard questions and follow through according to His plans, His Word and His Will.  Stand with His brothers, the Jewish People, as we go forward.
