It has been a working vacation of sorts… I took my granddaughter along with me to the West Coast, from San Diego, CA area up to Vancouver, WA. Meeting with some great people to discuss the vision of AHI, needs of the Survivors and partnering.
Along the way we visited the zoo in San Diego, Alyssa took a surfing lesson, we walked (climbed?) the hills of San Francisco, saw the Redwood Trees, went to the rugged shore of northern California and more. We are in awe of what God has made, the beauty of His earth, His power shown in the ocean and majesty in the Redwoods. In the midst of the forest, the complete quiet could be felt and His Voice heard. I loved seeing God’s creativity and love for us, that He made such a beautiful world and presented it to us.
My granddaughter returned to PA and I am currently in Vancouver, WA to speak with those from Rehoboth Congregation, 3504 NE 49th St, Vancouver, WA 98661. Anyone who can come, spend an evening with me to learn about the Holocaust Survivors in Israel, at 7-9pm, Wednesday, August 3rd.
On Sunday, August 7 is an Israeli festival at Esther Short Park with many booths. I will have a booth there with “Why is Great-Grandma So Sad?” books (and will sign them) and special pendants made by a Holocaust Survivor. Come join us! Begins at 11am.
Call 360-695-2900 for more information. Hope to see you there!
